Time line of our activity

 

Sustainability for us, is the construction of the long-term relationship through actions targeting the economic wellbeing of society and the amplified management of risks and opportunities.

 

Sustainability and Social Responsability Policy

 

Our Sustainability Policy sets out the guidelines for the Bank’s relationship with its employees, its customers, its suppliers, the market, the community and the government. It also provides principles for the management of activities and relation with the environment, social–environmental risk management in its business, and the development and management of products and services.

We at BV bank reaffirm our commitment to the principles of sustainable development in all of our activities and operations.

 

Our performance in social responsibility is based on social transformation and development of the nation, through support to projects in the areas of culture, sports, childhood and adolescence

 

Culture

 

CCBB – F.I.L.E. Exhibition – Electronic art in disruptive times
Exhibit of projects by Brazilian and international artists that use electronic and digital tools as a source of creation.

Querô Institute - “Querô Workshops,” “Querô at School” and “Querô Communities”
Support to youth training workshops on audiovisual production in outlying areas.

São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) - Dialogues on the museum’s collection and MASP workshops
Conversations on the museum’s works and exhibits accompanied by specialists, with educational activities that explore the various languages in which art is manifested.

Children’s Pastoral - Museum of Life
Promotes information and reflection through exhibits and educational actions on health, nutrition, education and citizenship in caring for children in the family, as well as preserving the memory of the mission of Dr. Zilda Arns Neumann.

 

Mozarteum - São Paulo Annual Plan
Appreciation and diffusion of musical culture by promoting classical music performances and offering educational activities.

MG Philharmonic Orchestra - Concerts for Youth and Didactic Concerts
Promotion, diffusion and production of symphonic music.

São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP) – Concert Season + Discover the Orchestra
Offers wide-ranging possibilities of classical music with consecrated works of high artistic value, and educational activities that strengthen the cultural and musical development of students and teachers.

Baccarelli Institute – Annual Activities Plan
Provides children and youths in situations of social vulnerability with a full educational program of outstanding musical and artistic training, personal development, and opportunities to become professional musicians.

Sports

Sports and Education Institute - Francisco Meirelles Sport Centers Network
Contributes to the training of discerning and participative citizens, and seeks to favor the development of low-income communities through sports.

Olga Kos Institute - Karate IX- Inclusion through sports
Works with the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in society, through the practice of karate.

Childhood

 

CMDCA (VIA) - Strengthening of the child protection network
Invests in improving the life quality of children and adolescents with violated rights and in situations of vulnerability.

GURI Project - Araçoiaba da Serra
Strengthens the education of children and adolescents as subjects integrated positively into society, by teaching music after school.

Sepi – Citizen of Tomorrow Project
The purpose of this project is to protect children, distancing them from situations of risk and social vulnerability, and to work on the development of skills and potentialities.

APAE SP - Defenders of Rights
Strengthens the implementation of public and social policies, as well as the enactment of laws that contribute to the quality of life of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities in the city of São Paulo.

Hospital Pequeno Príncipe - Saúde Integra
Ensures that the fundamental rights of children and adolescents being treated at the Hospital Pequeno Príncipe are respected, through quality and humanized health care, associated with medical, psychosocial, dental, educational, recreational and cultural activities, as well as support for the development of scientific research aimed at the health of children and adolescents.

 

GRAACC - Nurse Care at GRAACC
Offers advanced nursing care to children and youths with cancer at the Support Group for Children and Adolescents with Cancer (GRAACC), a reference institution in the treatment of childhood cancer in the city of São Paulo.

São Paulo Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CMDCA) – “Our Daycare” Program
Aimed at expanding the access of children aged 0 to 3 years to pre-school education, providing the conditions for their integral development, with priority for the most vulnerable families.

Instituto Criança é vida - Multiplying Partnership
Projects focused on the physical, emotional and social health of children and adolescents from communities in situations of social vulnerability.

Votorantim for Education Program (PVE)
In 2018, Votorantim celebrates the 100th anniversary years of its founding, and with the aim of leaving a legacy to society, it chose the theme of Education as a priority cause to mark its centennial. With the support of City Governments, Departments of Education, Educational/School Managers, and the community in general, the project will transform education in 100 Brazilian municipalities.

We at BV bank are together supporting this initiative through the awarding of the municipalities that stood out in the PVE program.  Thus, we seek to value the engagement and commitment of the different players in PVE’s actions; we recognize the good practices developed by the municipalities that have contributed to the dissemination of inspiring actions, in pursuit of improving students’ learning.

Senior Citizens

 

Barretos Cancer Hospital – Support to Senior Citizens 2018
Aims to expand and further qualify the initiatives that involve the treatment of the elderly and the assistance of their families throughout the process of fighting the disease.

Porto Alegre Society for the Support of Senior Citizens (SPAAN) - Protected Maturity Project
Assistance to seniors in an extended-stay system, satisfying their biopsychosocial needs, aiming at longevity with the quality of life of those assisted by the project.

Equator Principles

BV bank is proud to be a signatory to the Equator Principles, which establishes a set of social–environmental criteria observed worldwide in the analysis of financial products.

These criteria guide us in the evaluation and management of environmental and social risks, in the selection of investment projects and in the decision-making process.

Participation in the Equator Principles is voluntary and in line with our Sustainability and Social–Environmental Responsibility Policy (PSRSA).
